Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Bar Person to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in guest services, food and beverage preparation, and have excellent communication skills. This role offers an opportunity to lead bar operations, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and maintain high standards of food safety and service quality. The Senior Bar Person will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while overseeing daily bar activities.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
* Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff to uphold service standards.
* Manage bar stock levels, including ordering supplies and monitoring inventory to minimise waste.
* Ensure all drinks are served in accordance with licensing laws and company policies.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Provide excellent guest services by engaging with customers professionally and courteously.
* Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system efficiently.
* Support food preparation tasks when required, including simple meal assembly or garnishing.
* Uphold health and safety standards at all times, including responsible alcohol service.
* Collaborate with the wider team to deliver seamless service during busy periods.
Requirements
* Proven experience in hospitality roles such as restaurant, hotel, or bar service; prior experience as a Barista or in culinary settings is advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
* Excellent communication skills with a friendly phone etiquette for guest interactions.
* Experience in food preparation, meal assembly, or kitchen work is desirable.
* Delivery driver experience or familiarity with logistics can be beneficial for stock management tasks.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of guest service.
* Organised with good attention to detail; capable of multitasking effectively during busy shifts.

Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour
