You will create stimulating learning opportunities linked to the EYFS curriculum, encourage independence through play-based learning, and work alongside staff and parents to ensure pupils thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. To work as an Early Years Teacher in a nursery, preschool or early years unit, candidates typically require Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) achieved through Early Years ITT or an Early Years Teacher Degree Apprenticeship (EYTDA). To work as an Early Years Teacher in a primary school, including Reception, candidates require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
