Due to our continued success, we are recruiting for a Senior/Principal Engineer or Scientist to join our Ships and Dredging Group. This role involves leading research and consultancy projects related to ship navigation and mooring systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in project management, scientific analysis, engineering, and a strong understanding of the marine environment.
You will be responsible for leading ship navigation simulation studies using our state-of-the-art simulators to enhance safety and efficiency. Additionally, you will oversee ship mooring studies utilizing our physical modelling facilities to analyze and optimize mooring systems in various marine settings. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and effective communication with clients are essential to deliver high-quality results. You will also engage in R&D activities to support service growth and contribute to business development by securing new projects and fostering client relationships.
Your leadership will be crucial in advancing our capabilities and maintaining our position as a leader in ship navigation and mooring solutions within the marine industry.
Key Qualifications and Skills
* A relevant engineering or scientific degree
* Interest in researching and developing ship-related topics
* Minimum of 5 years relevant experience and/or a higher degree
* Knowledge of national and international marine industry standards and practices
* Proven ability to manage projects successfully
* Proactive, curious, and solution-oriented mindset
* Strong planning skills with adaptability to changing priorities
* Willingness to learn and adapt
