The Role
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join our busy, multi-site engineering department.
To enable us to continue meeting high industry demands and in order to maintain and exceed the highest levels of quality and customer service expected, we are keen to hear from suitably skilled and experienced engineering professionals who may be interested in joining our team.
The Engineering Team Leader will ensure that the production plant, services and facilities are all maintained in safe and working order. Improved through the effective leadership and best engineering practices to provide an efficient and cost-effective level of service to all areas of business, utilising external contractors only where appropriate. Responsibilities will also include ensuring that both PPM and reactive breakdowns are attended to in an efficient & timely manner. The engineering Team Leader will assume full ownership of daily KPI’s and team training and performance, maintaining training records as appropriate.
Site Based. PO21 3PX. Day Shift: 4 Days on 4 days off

Key Responsibilities to include:
1. Lead by example
2. Identify and implement training for engineering team as appropriate
3. Ensure that the PPM and reactive breakdown are attended to in timely manner
4. Follow through GMP, SHE & audit policies and close action promptly
5. Play an active role in HACCP team
6. Deliver plant uptime & maintenance KPIs through planned, preventative & predictive maintenance
7. Provide support to engineering manager in delivering departmental KPI’s
8. Manage and maintain stock levels for plant and equipment
9. Assist the engineering manager in managing the use of contractors across sites
10. Focus on continuous improvement
Requirements
Required Knowledge Skills & Experience
11. Time served mechanical/electrical engineer with a minimum 3 years post qualification
12. Previous team management experience
13. Strong and effective communication skills
14. Strong organisational & problem-solving skills
15. Capable of carrying out mechanical and electrical tasks
16. Carry out effective RCAs & RAMS
17. Identify, plan and implement effective PPMs
18. Able to plan, delegate, monitor and manage team effectively
Desirable Skills/Experience:
19. Management experience within a FMCG / Fresh food manufacturing environment
20. Food Hygiene Level 3
21. Capable of working on invertors, PLC systems & high-speed machine.
22. Experience of working within FMCG / Fresh Food manufacturing
