Join Our Team as a Senior Support Worker

Location:

Wellington, Somerset

Salary:

£13.53 per hour (£26,383.50 pro-rata) plus benefits. Additional £50 per sleep-in shift.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, on a shift rota basis. You will also be on the on-call rota.

Contract:

Full-time, Permanent.

Driving Requirement:

A valid full UK manual driving license is essential for this role.

About You

We are looking for a Senior Support Worker who is calm, patient, and resilient. You will need to have a consistent approach to helping the people we support engage in activities they love.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will:

* Be a strong team player, leading by example, and maintaining professionalism, patience, and calmness under pressure, with experience in providing exceptional support.
* Supervise daily outputs and assist the Registered and Deputy Managers in managing staff performance, development, and appraisals.
* Follow social care legislation and regulations to ensure compliance of your team and the home.
* Keep accurate records, perform audits, and achieve quality outcomes for the people you support.
* Take personal responsibility for the quality of care and support delivered.
* Help plan and achieve both short- and long-term goals.
* Plan and support engaging activities, including vacations, learning, and social events, always exploring new opportunities.
* Ensure the people you support and their families are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.
* Hold a QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), with a willingness to undertake Level 3, and demonstrate knowledge of regulatory standards.
* Work in accordance with SeeAbility’s values.

We seek individuals with the right attitude—open-minded, forward-thinking, and with a sense of humor. Availability to work 37.5 hours weekly, including weekends, is required.

Who you will be supporting

Fiennes House is a 12-bed residential home for adults with complex care needs, learning disabilities, or autism, some with challenging behaviors. The home features a sensory room with equipment to stimulate senses using lights, sounds, music, and touch, including a heated waterbed and sensory materials.

The residents are active, engaging in community activities like art, trampolining, music, gardening, and outings.
