The Role:
* Design new systems, equipment, and processes for new product introduction or existing product improvement
* Collaborate with multiple departments to deliver continuous improvement projects on time and within budget
* Analyze and report on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, machine availability, and waste management
* Support the transition of new tools into production by designing and implementing jigs, tooling, frameworks, etc.
* Coordinate with toolmakers regarding new tools and tooling improvements
* Review and calculate costs of tools and equipment, predicting future overheads
* Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflows, space, and equipment layout
* Evaluate quality control processes and recommend improvements
The Person:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or project roles
* Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD
* Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI)
