Shellmar Construction is an expanding groundworks and civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure and substructure packages for residential and mixed-use developments across London and the South East.
Due to a growing pipeline of projects, we are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our commercial team and take a leading role in pricing and securing new work.
This position offers the opportunity to work directly with company directors, influence tender strategy, and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the preparation and submission of groundworks and civil engineering tenders
* Price packages including earthworks, drainage, foundations, roads and external infrastructure
* Analyse drawings, specifications and bills of quantities
* Manage supplier and subcontractor enquiries during the tender process
* Identify value engineering opportunities and commercial strategies
* Support negotiations and contract award processes
Project Range
Typical groundwork packages ranging from £100k – £5M across residential developments and infrastructure works.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience estimating groundworks or civil engineering projects
* Strong understanding of UK construction pricing and tendering procedures
* Experience pricing residential development infrastructure packages
* Commercial awareness and strong negotiation capability
* Ability to manage tenders from initial enquiry through to submission
