Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Healthcare team at HMP Drake Hall, a female‑closed prison located in Eccleshall, Stafford.
Within this role you will be working closely with a full multidisciplinary team including an ACP and NMP to deliver high quality healthcare services.
Ideal applicants will have a special interest in female health and experience with LARC insertion and removal. This year the site hopes to open a healthcare hub focusing on female‑specific health needs such as pregnancy, menopause and sexual health; the GP will be actively involved within healthcare services in the hub.
Hours
Monday 8am‑4.30pm; Wednesday 8am‑4.30pm; Friday 8am‑4.30pm.
Salary
This position is part‑time, working 24 hours per week. You will receive an annual salary from £119,140 up to £122,886 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
* Deliver first‑class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you would not usually experience within a practice, or even an A&E environment.
* Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients and make timely decisions regarding future management.
* Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, and to the patients you work with.
* Be actively involved in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.
Qualifications required
* MBChB or MBBS
* Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
* Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
* Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
* RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
