Overview
We are seeking a High Intensity Modality Lead to support and manage the delivery and development of additional modalities within NHS Talking Therapies Southampton. This is a part time role of 30 hours based in Southampton, with flexibility across the opening hours of the service.
Responsibilities
* Act as clinical lead within an area of expertise, provide expert advice to psychological therapists and other professionals.
* Provide non-CBT high intensity modalities that form part of the NHS Talking Therapies programme as recommended by NICE for clients who present a range of complex Anxiety and Depression related problems and other mild to moderate mental health problems.
* Supervise and support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by other high intensity therapists and trainees, and support other clinical members of the team who provide psychologically based care and treatment.
* Oversee clinical quality and outcomes for the high intensity team, focusing on the delivery and quality of non-CBT HI additional modalities including evidence-based NICE Approved treatments such as CTfD, DIT, IPT, PCE-CfD, MBCT and EMDR.
* Work with locality leads and the senior service lead to ensure adherence to national guidelines, achievement of targets, and appropriate clinical governance arrangements.
* Monitor waiting lists for the additional modalities with Locality Lead & S3 Specialist to ensure timely access to treatment and KPI achievement.
* Provide specialist psychological therapy to patients from the NHS TT service in an expert area of practice, including assessment and therapy within one or more models specified by the NHS TT manual and in line with the Roth & Pilling competency framework (2007).
* Supervise and support the psychological therapy provided by other high intensity therapists and provide consultation to non-NHS Talking Therapy colleagues as appropriate.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Part-time role (30 hours per week) based in Southampton; flexible across opening hours of the service.
* Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required; the Trust will cover the cost. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.
* Applications from candidates who require current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are ineligible to apply for this position.
