A cutting-edge engineering organisation is seeking a Principal Systems Architect to define and lead the development of next-generation electric drive system architectures. Operating within the Systems Engineering Department, you'll help shape the technology roadmap for (Apply online only), delivering system-level solutions that balance technical excellence with commercial impact. The Principal Systems Architect - Advanced Engineering will: Define, schedule, and manage development and validation programs for MGU and MCU systems. Align test activities with customer validation cycles, industry standards, and internal technical targets. Develop test matrices covering functional performance, durability, environmental, and safety requirements. Assess internal and external test facilities for capability across mechanical, electrical, thermal, and environmental domains. Coordinate cross-functional input from Controls, Design, Manufacturing, and Quality teams. Lead root cause investigations and validate design or software changes through targeted test programs. The Principal Systems Architect - Advanced Engineering will have: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (or related discipline). 7 years' experience in development and validation of high-performance electric drive systems or similar. Strong understanding of MGU and MCU systems across thermal, electrical, mechanical, and controls domains. Experience in test program management and cross-functional engineering leadership. Excellent communication, reporting, and project management skills. Knowledge of functional safety principles (ISO 26262) is advantageous.
