Duties
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
* Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
* Support chefs during service by ensuring all necessary utensils and ingredients are readily available.
* Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently to ensure a constant supply of clean dishes and kitchenware.
* Help with the storage of food supplies and ingredients, ensuring proper rotation and stock management.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, reporting any hazards or issues to senior staff.
* Assist with general kitchen duties as required, including cleaning floors, surfaces, and equipment.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
* A passion for food preparation and cooking is highly desirable.
* Experience in restaurants, hotels, or other hospitality settings is advantageous.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
