An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated qualified Social Worker to join the Specialist Mental Health Team.
Working within the Specialist Mental Health Team
Key Responsibilities
* You will have demonstrable social work experience, the ability to work positively as part of a team and in partnership with other stakeholders
* You will be required to carry out assessments under The Care Act 2014, Safeguarding Section 42 Enquiries
* Work closely in partnership with the NHS to consider citizen's Section 117 aftercare needs under The Mental Health Act 1983
* You will be responsible for completing support plans and presenting funding applications to the budget holders
* You will also be required to complete social circumstances reports for the Mental Health Review Tribunal in the case of psychiatric inpatients
Essential Skills/knowledge
* The successful applicant will require a sound knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks, such as The Care Act 2014, The Mental Health Act 1983 and The Mental Capacity Act 2005
* High quality inter-personal and communication skills
* You will carry a caseload and will require the resilience to deliver a high quality service under pressure within required timeframes
* The ideal candidate should hold a Social Work qualification and must be registered with Social Work England
