Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Depot Compliance Co-ordinator on a fixed term basis until October 2025 to join us on our Sainsbury's site based in Basildon. Reporting to the Depot Transport Change & Compliance Lead, this role is key to maintaining depot legal compliance through clerical, administrative, and reporting duties, including data collation and presentation for the Transport Manager to ensure adherence to relevant legislation, policies, and processes.
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £26,750
What you need to do
* Collaborate with the Depot Transport Team to identify opportunities for transport optimization, balancing service and cost.
* Review legislative changes and support the implementation of compliance updates, utilizing data from various systems.
* Provide data and insights for compliance across operational process, fleet, and transport compliance, including vehicle downloads, driver hours, MOTs, LOLER, tachograph, accident management, and damage reduction plans.
* Support operational teams in identifying driver non-compliance, driver license checks, digi-card downloads, and training compliance.
* Coordinate UK logistics audits.
* Work with H&S teams and transport/fleet compliance to handle audits and investigations.
* Take ownership of tasks, seek performance improvements, and show initiative.
* Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including unions.
* Operate within legislation, policies, and processes related to safety, health, and environment.
* Liaise with Vehicle Maintenance Units to understand fleet movements and ensure compliance.
* Contribute to accident and damage reduction plans through trend analysis.
* Assist with administrative duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
What you need to know and show
* A CPC certificate is beneficial but not essential.
* Know where to find relevant legislation, policies, and processes related to your location.
