About the Role
Are you looking to take your nursing (RGN, RNLD, RMN), occupational therapy, or physiotherapy career in a new direction? Do you want a role that values your attention to detail, compassion, and empathy, while offering work-life balance, education, and development opportunities into the medico-legal field? Or are you interested in transitioning into Occupational/Vocational pathways?
* You will assess up to four to six customers per day.
* Assessments can be conducted on paper, via telephone, video, or face-to-face.
* You will take clinical observations, ask questions, and create written reports.
* You will pass assessments to the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), who will decide on customer support.
* You will evaluate benefits such as Personal Independent Payments or Employment and Support Allowance managed by DWP.
Training & Development
Clients will have various clinical issues; industry-leading training will be provided by expert clinical tutors. This training will equip you to support customers and transfer your current medical skills to the role's requirements.
The full training lasts about 6 months, during which you will be paid. This role will support your RGN or HCPC registration with revalidation assistance. Post-training, you'll have ongoing CPD, revalidation support, and career development opportunities within the organization. You will also be allocated a clinical supervisor and can pursue the Diploma in Disability Assessment Medicine accredited by the FOM.
Your Requirements
Qualified nurse, OT, or physiotherapist with at least 1 year of in-patient clinical experience. Strong IT skills are advantageous, including typing at 35 words per minute. Candidates must demonstrate high literacy, attention to detail, and adaptable communication skills.
