Since becoming part of Archbishop Wake CE Primary School's provision in September 2025, we are looking to grow our already successful nursery provision for children aged 0–4. The setting is a thriving, forward‑thinking and caring environment dedicated to enabling the best start in life for all children.
We are looking to expand and grow our provision, and we need dedicated, ambitious and caring staff to join our friendly team in the next phase of our journey.
Being part of the school provision, you will benefit from being well supported, having access to excellent bespoke professional development and being supported through working within a much larger organisation (Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust – DSAT). This role will provide you with many opportunities to learn new skills, solve problems and adapt to different situations. Every day is different and exciting – you can get creative, messy and encourage the children to explore the world through play.
You can make a real difference in children's lives by providing them with a safe, supportive, and fun environment where they are eager to “have a go” and try new things.
About You
We are looking to appoint someone who is passionate about working with children, fun, calm and supportive. You'll be enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and able to use your initiative. You will be confident in using a computer and able to communicate with families using technology.
The successful applicant will require a minimum Level 3 in Early Years and Childcare qualification. Any safeguarding, paediatric first aid, childcare or food hygiene qualifications would also be an advantage. If these additional qualifications are not already held, the successful candidate will be required to complete the necessary training outside of normal working hours, all associated training time will be fully paid.
You will also be working with a team of other professionals who share your passion and vision for childcare. Applicants should be patient, love working with children, enthusiastic, self‑motivated and able to use initiative. You will be well organised, needing to record observations, share information with parents and carers to support learning at home, and always seek advice and guidance from your senior and line manager when needed.
We will offer an extensive range of wellness services and professional learning opportunities to support growth and development.
We value the diversity of our workforce and welcome applications from all. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
All applicants will be subject to a number of checks including the Disclosure and Barring Service check before appointment is confirmed.
