Position Summary:
The Blueprint Delivery Lead will help lead business transformation-related consulting engagements and will be responsible for the timely delivery of the initial transformation phase (Blueprint). You will manage a virtual team consisting of Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and other technical Subject Matter Experts. You will play the role of delivery manager of the blueprint phase, working directly with the Project Manager or Director responsible for end-to-end delivery. The Blueprint Delivery Lead will be responsible for end-to-end tracking and management of the progress of the Blueprint phase.
You will also serve as a trusted business advisor in the Blueprint, helping to analyze business requirements for customers, assess gaps between current and future business processes, and develop operational readiness plans, mapping business processes to the proposed technical solution.
This is a mixed management and hands-on role that requires strong delivery and content knowledge skills.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Matrix management of delivery engagements, including resources from Consulting, Solution Delivery, and Solution Engineering
* Coach and train less senior team members
* Analyze and document business processes and manage team members responsible for delivering these
* Demonstrate thought leadership on operational best practices in communication service provider environments, related to BSS and OSS
* Participate in reviewing business requirements and process documentation from the customer
* Participate in requirement analysis sessions to ensure correct mapping of business requirements to functional capabilities
* Assess the impact of proposed technical solutions on existing business processes and recommend organizational changes
* Manage business readiness assessments before new solution deployments and execute deployment tasks on behalf of the customer
* Serve as the single point of contact as delivery manager for the Blueprint phase
Experience and Requirements:
* Leadership responsibilities for project work streams involving both consultants and non-consultants, such as delivery and engineering resources
* Accountability for successful work stream and on-time delivery
* Manage customer expectations regarding timelines and deliverables
* Build strong client relationships by providing adequate business context
* Manage project budgets and estimates
* Translate project plans into specific actions and deliverables
* Identify opportunities and support pre-sales activities
* Strong knowledge of practice areas and proactive customer recommendations
* Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years in telecommunications with large-scale BSS, OSS, or NMS applications such as Billing, Order Management, Customer Care, etc.
* Experience in three or more telecom lines of business
* Domain knowledge in multiple BSS/OSS areas is a plus
* Understanding of the global telecommunications market from technical and business perspectives
* Ability to analyze complex organizations and develop consultative delivery skills
* Professional interaction skills with customers
* Excellent communication and strategic skills
* Ability to work in a multicultural, multi-stakeholder environment
