Overview

Recruitment Manager at The Thinking Schools Academy Trust

We’re recruiting a HR Admin Officer to join Thinking Solutions for Education on a fixed term contract until 31 August 2026. You will provide support to our parent group’s HR team for their Trust schools. As an HR Admin Officer, you’ll support colleagues across the Trust and our commercial arm in a varied role where no two days look the same.

You will become a vital part of our HR team, working with senior school leaders and developing strong relationships. You will take ownership of HR admin and queries from TSfE and TSAT schools.

* Act as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing clear advice and guidance while escalating more complex matters appropriately.
* Support the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding to employee relations, performance, and wellbeing.
* Manage your own caseload of HR matters, including absence management and low-level employee relations, ensuring timely, fair, and consistent outcomes.
* Provide administrative support to the HR function, including accurate record keeping, HR system updates, and compliance checks.
* Contribute to the smooth running of the team by supporting HR processes, preparing documentation, and producing reports and correspondence.
* Build relationships with staff and managers, offering a professional and approachable HR service that reflects our ethos and values of TSfE.

We’re seeking someone who balances the detail of administration with the challenge of day-to-day HR issues. You’ll bring:

* Experience of providing HR advice and support, ideally within a busy and varied environment.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
* Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships at all levels.
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
* A willingness to learn and develop as part of a supportive team.
