Youth Action Lead
Are you passionate about giving young people a voice and leading and empowering them to create change in their communities?
Young Leicestershire is looking for a passionate, innovative and creative leader to drive a ground-breaking national project known as the Peer Action Collective (PAC) across East and West Leicester.
PAC is a youth-led model developed to directly listen to young peoples experiences of violence, to inform and empower young people to create positive change. Our research topic is policing and will be delivered in two phases including:
* Peer research: which aims to gain in-depth, contextualised insights into the lives of young people.
* Social action: which gives opportunities for young people to create youth-led projects and resources and raise awareness of their research findings to create a change from what they have found.
The Youth Action Lead will be responsible for recruiting, managing and supporting young people through a variety of roles to complete the two phases and be part of a youth-led movement to create meaningful change around policing on a local and national level.
The Youth Action Lead will lead the PAC team and work closely with the Violence Reduction Network, grassroot community organisations, a range of community and statutory organisations as well as national organisations.
