The applicant requires a full driving license. The main duties will include transporting the out of hour’s clinician to and from patient’s homes, the delivery of medication and equipment and on occasion, patient transport. This is an out of hours post and therefore the ability to safely drive at night is essential. Alongside the main role, the driver is also expected to maintain the out of hour’s vehicle in regards daily vehicle checks and the stock that is kept within the vehicle. Good knowledge of local geography would also be advantageous. PVG checks will be required. Any mandatory training will be provided.
