Senior Market Pricing Analyst (SME) – AXA Health, Royal Tunbridge Wells, United Kingdom.
AXA Health is investing in pricing capability with a comprehensive pricing transformation programme, including new pricing software, market-leading modelling, and performance monitoring. The role focuses on Retail Pricing data and modelling techniques within the Insurance industry, with knowledge of price optimisation and other actuarial techniques.
What you’ll be doing
* Build behavioural, demand, and market premium models in Radar that are robust, regulatory compliant, and continuously enhance value.
* Monitor modelling performance, recommend model reviews and agile interim rating changes, and maintain/enhance Radar LTV models.
* Deliver and refine Radar optimisation and rating models to achieve required volume and value, using insight to fine-tune trading performance.
* Provide pricing recommendations for legacy SME PMI and non-PMI portfolios prior to migration, inform proposals with new and existing models, and support migration pricing requirements.
* Support Portfolio Management with evaluation of new deals, offers and tests; ensure Fair Pricing Policy and conduct expectations are adhered to in pricing proposals.
* Ensure modelling and performance data are robust; liaise with Data & Systems teams to initiate improvements.
* Coach and mentor junior pricing analysts, peer review models, and recommend improvements.
* Build effective working relationships with other Pricing teams, Distribution, Propositions, Finance, Medical Underwriting and Compliance.
What you’ll bring
* Expert knowledge of Retail Pricing data and modelling techniques, including GLMs and machine learning (e.g., GBMs) within the Insurance industry.
* Strong knowledge of price optimisation and other actuarial techniques (reserving, P&L dynamics).
* Significant experience using Radar pricing software.
* Higher education in mathematics or statistics (2:1 or higher) and ideally working towards actuarial qualification.
* Understanding of regulatory environments and large organisational dynamics.
* Outstanding communication and influencing skills; solution-focused with strong delivery and improvement orientation.
* Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work with cross-functional teams.

As a precondition of employment, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
This role is subject to background screening every 4 years under the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) regime, with an annual declaration in interim years.
