Ideally you will have experience within a local authority setting within a Homelessness team. You can ideally demonstrate the following, experience of working with and employing Homeless persons legislation, case load management, making enquiries and investigating a persons housing need, providing advice and assistance, making homeless legal decisions, making referrals to support services, having difficult conversations, utilising access to grant funding to alleviate housing need, working to deadlines and able to prioritise work. Have excellent customer service skills. Be able to record keep and good data entry. An understanding of the CIVICA abritas system would be an advantage but not essential.
