Job Description: Residential supervisors are tasked with managing a residential house that provides 24/7 support to residents with severe and persistent mental illness in a community-based setting. Supervisors provide direct support to clients and staff and manage the day-to-day operations that will help maintain a successful program. This position requires on-call duties. Supervisors are responsible for managing the house budget, supervising of staff, and operating as the point person to ensure effective communication, consultation, and critical decision-making. Residential supervisors are expected to take part in consultation, quality improvement activities, and program development. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Supervision of staff Management of petty cash Provision of adequate staffing for all shifts Direct work with clients, both 1:1 and in a group setting Utilize evidence-based practices to support clients in their recovery goals (including symptom management, ADL support, medication education, extra-curricular activities, etc.) Coverage for other Residential Supervisors Requirements Critical decision making Leadership Organization Multitasking Time Management Prioritizing needs and tasks Conflict resolution Therapeutic/Clinical Effectiveness Strengths-based perspective Basic computer and email skills Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Education: A bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or education/counseling from an accredited college or university is required. Experience: Supervisory experience in a therapeutic setting is required. Qualifications: Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, an automobile with liability insurance, and a clean background and driving record check. Skills and Competencies: Commitment to teamwork Self-Starter, Independent Time management and organizational skills are a must. Excellent ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, staff, clients, and community partners.
