The role:
Role purpose:
1. To be responsible for the safe and commercially satisfactory delivery of projects, utilising staff, plant, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
2. To deliver all aspects of the concrete and steel products through the ISO accredited quality and safety processes, to achieve the highest standards of quality and safety, on time and to budget projects with continuous customer satisfaction.
Duties:
3. To manage projects and site crews, from ordering plant and materials, to van hire and crew management
4. To prepare and achieve approval of all RAMS and quality documentation with the client
5. To liaise with clients and meet client requirements
6. To report and manage financial budgets
7. To recruit and manage site employees
8. To plan and programme works
9. Liaise with design departments to understand construction drawings
10. To manage formwork
11. To establish suppliers to projects

13. To Ensure Company Safety and Quality Objectives are adhered to at all times
14. To support the construction teams to work in accordance with approved documents
15. To ensure good communication skills are developed by the teams, to allow them to effectively communicate with each other and deliver the company goals through a team effort
16. To work closely with clients and stakeholders to achieve each other’s goals
17. To help develop the individuals in the team to have the correct skills necessary to effectively meet the needs of the business and allow them to carry out their duties and responsibilities with total clarity and understanding
18. To deliver profitable projects
19. Maintain/promote good work practices
20. Provide direction and leadership to associates and assist where required
21. Create and develop a highly motivated team
22. Work within all company processes, policies and procedures
23. Performs any other duties as assigned
The successful candidate:
Will be experienced in a project management role in the construction/civils industry.
Requirements:
24. Experience of working in specialist construction companies managing as duties above
25. Managing site construction personnel / teams
26. Knowledge and ability to create RAMS and safe systems of work, following guidelines in a construction environment
27. Prioritisation skills
28. Attention to detail
29. Good problem-solving skills
30. Leadership skills
31. Communication skills at all levels, colleagues, customers, suppliers, consultants and site teams
32. Excel and Word computer skills to a good business level. Microsoft Project preferred
33. CPCS and other construction related training and achievements
