About the role
Join our Power Transmission & Distribution team as a Project Engineer in our Operations Team and be part of a major infrastructure project shaping the future of Scotland’s energy network. You’ll work alongside industry experts who will support your growth, provide feedback, and help develop your career within the power sector.
This role is based in Elgin, supporting our Beauly to Peterhead Overhead Line (OHL) project, a significant investment in Scotland’s transmission network.

What you'll be doing
As a Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and delivering engineered solutions and briefs to the working party
* Safely and sustainably delivering activities to programme, cost, and quality standards
* Monitoring and recording works to ensure compliance in a timely manner
* Supporting and developing an environment where the team can thrive
* Managing and caring for the people delivering the work
Who we're looking for
* HNC/HND/Degree in electrical or engineering discipline, with relevant site experience in utilities/construction
* Comfortable with ambiguity, able to address sensitive issues, and lead cross-functional teams
* Ability to work across conflicting interest groups to resolve complex operational and commercial problems
* People management and relationship management skills
* Commercial awareness with knowledge of budget and financial control
* Knowledge of project management methodology
* Full UK driving license
* Willing to work away from home
