Purpose of the role
We have an opportunity for a Product Development Technician for concrete to join our small team at our Chipping Sodbury laboratory. The main responsibilities include conducting fresh and hardened concrete testing to support the development of high-performing concrete mixes to UKAS standards. The technician will assist in the assessment of primary and secondary aggregates, admixtures, and novel concrete ingredients. The successful candidate will work in accordance with UKAS standards and support the Senior Technician.
Key Accountabilities
* Production and testing of bespoke concrete solutions
* Assessment of ingredients on concrete performance
* Maintain equipment and facilities in good working order
* Conduct sample visits
* Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
* Manage stock levels of equipment, cements, aggregates, and admixtures to ensure efficient use of lab time
* Maintain all required Health & Safety and Quality records
* Demonstrate familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, SAP, and Contessa (training provided)

* Salary: £26,500 - £28,500 Dependent on experience
* Hours: 40 per week
* Schedule: 8am- 4:30pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch
