As a Test Rig Design Engineer You Will
* Collaborate with aircraft system specialists to understand test requirements and develop testing methods.
* Conceptualise and design detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings for custom test rigs using CAD.
* Specify actuators, sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems, and produce P and IDs.
* Work cross-functionally to ensure test rigs are fit for purpose and meet engineering requirements.
* Validate designs using hand calculations and FEA while supporting in-house prototype builds.
* Prepare technical reports to document progress and findings effectively.
The Test Rig Design Engineer Will Bring
* A degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience in rig design and testing methodologies.
* Strong knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing techniques.
* Proficiency in CAD for modelling parts and assemblies, along with the ability to produce detailed drawings.
* Ability to manage workload independently, prioritise tasks, and identify solutions with a hands-on approach.
