Salary: £38,682 - £46,580 Per Annum (pro rata).
Job overview
As a sister / charge nurse on F3 you will be required to coordinate daily shifts and be responsible for all 32 patients on the ward. Deputising for the ward manager in their absence. You will join a Healthy team of other Sister / Charge nurses and work in a collaborative manner in the smooth running of the ward, bed management and taking care of the patients. Majority of these patients will have undergone major lung resections. You will also be responsible for supporting your junior colleagues and their workload.
Main duties of the job
You will manage sickness and staffing, staff wellbeing, incident reporting, clinical governance, staff training and development, clinical audits, IQP and other managerial duties.

Person specification
Experience
* Minimum 2 years experience at Band 5
* Leading a team and working autonomously
* Evidence of motivation
* Experience of working within thoracic
* Experience of working at band 6 level
Skills

* Understanding of NHS priorities and targets

Knowledge
* Knowledge of caring for postoperative patients
