Igne is looking to appoint a Monitoring Technician to join our Ground Investigation Division in Scotland, based from Hamilton, Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and progressive geotechnical contractor. You will need a full UK driving licence and a willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. About the Role This varied field-based position involves obtaining and testing a range of gas and water samples in-situ. Consideration will be given to both experienced field technicians and those new to the industry, as full training will be provided. Key Responsibilities * On-site monitoring of gas and water levels * Groundwater sampling and inclinometer readings * Completion of test sheets and data entry using tablets * Working within in-house quality assurance systems * Maintaining high standards of health and safety in line with company policies Essential Skills & Attributes * Full, clean UK driving licence * Good written and verbal communication skills * Confident working in a team environment * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word * Self-motivated and able to manage your own workload Desirable * Previous experience within a UKAS-accredited testing environment * Knowledge of relevant testing standards and processes Salary & Benefits * Basic salary circa £29,500, dependent on experience * Overtime available after 45 hours and at enhanced weekend rates * 33 days’ holiday (including bank holidays) * Training and development opportunities to support your career progression About Igne We are Igne Group Limited, a collective of six specialist companies offering over 350 years of combined experience.
