As an IT Asset Officer you will provide IT hardware and software asset management to University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS FoundationTrust and external organisations such as Morecambe Bay ICB (Integrated Care Board).

You will work alongside I3 technical teams providing engineers access to hardware & software assets. You will update IT asset information records into the Trust's IT Asset Management system. You will be a self-starter and be able to manage your own workload but also work as a team member to meet SLA targets.
Main duties of the job
The IT Asset Officer is involved with the day to day activities relating to hardware and software asset management for the full life-cycle of ITAssets. This includes obtaining quotes, raising requisitions, co‑ordinating receipt and booking‑in of goods, storage, deployment and decommissioning.
The post holder will also be responsible for the accurate recording of asset details into the Trust IT Asset Management System.
The post holder will also take a lead role in the day‑to‑day management of the Trusts IT Asset storage areas, and must be prepared to travel between the hospital sites and Primary Care sites to ensure stock levels are appropriately maintained.
Person Specification
* Experience of IT Hardware such as computers, monitors, printers and other peripherals
* Maintaining details on a computer system with a focus on accuracy and completeness
* Experience of installing software on Windows computers.
* Good knowledge of NHS structure/function and stakeholders
* Experience of the Top Desk Service Management software application
* Experience of Procurement purchasing system
