The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years & Reception Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and friendly team. The successful candidate will work closely with Early Years teaching staff to provide high-quality support to our youngest learners, ensuring they have the best start to their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Assist with the preparation of classroom activities and resources.
Provide one-to-one or small group support for children, ensuring individual needs are met.
Encourage positive social interactions and help children develop key skills such as communication, numeracy, and problem-solving.
Ensure a safe and stimulating environment where children feel secure and valued.
Support children with personal care when necessary.
Work in partnership with parents, carers, and external agencies to promote children's well-being and development.
Requirements:
A passion for working with young children and helping them to thrive.
Previous experience in an Early Years setting is desirable but not essential.
A relevant childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Early Years Education, or equivalent).
A good understanding of the EYFS framework.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and the ability to build positive relationships with young children.
