QA Assistant
Location: Spalding
Factory based role ensuring factory is always audit ready. Driving best practice in the production environment with food safety, quality & legality. First point of contact for all production-based issues. Verification of systems generating daily compliance KPI's. Key part of Technical functions including but not limited to internal auditing, micro sampling and daily calibration.
Responsibilities:
* Driving production to be audit ready
* To operate in accordance to all company policies & procedures
* Product inspections & temperature checks
* Generation of departmental compliance KPI's
* Ownership of the quality departments paperwork & records
* Conduct internal sample swabbing & shelf life sampling (as required)
* Be aware of your own responsibilities for H&S & play an active role in ensuring that all staff work within the company's H&S policy
* Support the implementation of any agreed departmental objectives & projects
* Conduct internal scheduled audits
* Complete verifications & validations of the QMS procedures
* To ensure a good working relationship with OV's, meat inspectors and operational staff
* To liaise & engage with other group sites & its projects as & if required
