Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHSFT
Patient Flow Nurse (Band 6)
The closing date is 22 January 2026
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12-month secondment into the Patient Flow Team based on the Warrington site.
This is a challenging role within the established team, focussing on all aspects of patient flow and is open to existing Band 6 staff and Band 5 staff as part of a developmental role.
Main Duties
We are seeking a Patient Flow Nurse to ensure the placement of patients “right-bed, right-patient”.
The successful candidate will ensure that all patients are placed appropriately, working with all disciplines to facilitate discharge and ensure patient flow through the emergency pathway.
We would encourage any staff who are interested in applying to spend some informal time with the team before submitting any expression of interest.
I am happy to discuss further with any interested candidates and can be contacted via my email Michelle.thornhill@nhs.net or telephone 01925 662596 / 662890.
Applicants must have the approval of their line manager prior to submitting their application for the Secondment.
