OneEPR Digital Clinical Lead Practitioner
Salary – £47,810 – £54,710 pro rata per annum
Contract – Fixed term (2 years)

Job Summary The Band 7 Digital Clinical Lead will be a registered Nurse, Midwife, or Allied Health Professional with strong clinical experience and a passion for digital innovation. They will play a pivotal role in the configuration, deployment, and optimisation of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and associated systems across both Trusts.
Responsibilities
* Lead the configuration, deployment and optimisation of the EPR and related digital systems.
* Ensure safe, efficient, and user‑centred adoption across PHU and IWT.
* Collaborate with clinical and departmental experts from the Isle of Wight NHS Trust, Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and University Hospital Southampton Foundation Trust to procure and implement the joint EPR.
* Support transformation of how services are delivered, providing enterprise‑wide information at the point of care.
* Lead change management initiatives, including training, audits, and clinical effectiveness projects.
* Engage with commercial suppliers and project delivery teams.
* Present to large and mixed audiences, facilitate workshops, and coach staff as required.
Qualifications – Essential
* Educated to degree level or holds an equivalent professional qualification.
* Significant clinical experience as a nurse, AHP, or midwife within adult acute or specialist services.
* Experience working in a Band 6 setting for 6‑12 months.
* Evidence of progressing clinical practice in audit, research, and clinical effectiveness.
* Demonstrated success leading change and using digital clinical systems (EPR).
Qualifications – Desirable
* Strong Foundation Course or similar leadership qualification.
* Experience using an EPR to improve processes.
* Skills in presenting to large/mixed audiences, preparing and delivering workshops, coaching and training.
* Experience with testing and evaluation of software systems.
* Project management delivery to deadlines within scope and on budget.
* Experience working with commercial suppliers.
Professional Registration – Current UK professional registration required. Additional requirements: Disclosure and Barring Service check and Rehabilitation of Offenders Act compliance.
