Speech and Language Therapist – Band 6
Hours: 37 per week (Fixed Term 12 months)

We are delighted to offer an exciting fixed-term opportunity to join our Community Adult Speech & Language Therapy (SLT) team within Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership.
This post is ideal for:
A current Band 6 SLT looking to broaden or consolidate experience with an adult client group.
An experienced Band 5 SLT seeking to develop skills and gain valuable experience in a Band 6 role.
About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist with experience in dysphagia management. As part of our development programme, there may also be opportunities to gain experience in other specialist areas of our service.
Essential:
HCPC registration
Dysphagia experience
Full UK driving licence

You’ll be part of a well-established, friendly, and experienced team, supported by dedicated admin staff and an established supervision structure. We pride ourselves on collaboration and proactive working to deliver the best outcomes for our clients.
Base: City Hospital site, with additional space at the Health Village and Foresterhill Health Centre.
Our Wider SLT Service
As part of Aberdeen Health & Social Care Partnership, our SLT team also provides services to:
* Stroke Rehabilitation Unit
* Neuro Rehabilitation Unit
* Frailty Pathway
* Grampian-wide Videofluoroscopy Service
We also offer specialist pathways for Parkinson’s, dysfluency, and have Dementia Champions within the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from colleagues with a wide range of skills and expertise.
