Overview
Support Worker - Barnsley - Mental Health for Lifeways Group. This full-time role is based in Wombwell, Barnsley, South Yorkshire and supports people with enduring mental health needs in our Enhanced Community Recovery service.
Responsibilities
* Provide recovery-focused, person-centred support to clients living with mental health needs to help them live as independently as possible within the community.
* Engage with clients using person-centred approaches, tailoring support to individual needs.
* Work within the Enhanced Community Recovery service in Wombwell and be flexible to travel to other schemes across the business if required.
* Operate on a full-time rota basis (39.25 hours per week) including days, evenings, sleep-ins and weekends.
* Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality care and support, guided by Lifeways values.
About You / Qualifications
* Experience providing care to people with mental health support needs is desirable; full training will be provided.
* Good understanding of the needs of people living with mental health conditions; willingness to learn; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong IT skills (word processing, databases, emails).
* NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care is advantageous; Lifeways will support you in obtaining this if not already held.
