Description Proposed Interview Date: Week Commencing 07 July 2025 Closing Date: Sunday 29 June 2025 Contract Type: Permanent Salary: FC6 £29,508.69 to £32,437.03 Working Pattern: 36 hours per week Location: Dalgety Bay Job Details We are looking for a workshop supervisor who will directly supervise the work for equal opportunities workforce engaged in production of soft furnishings, particularly domestic and commercial curtains, cushions, and associated finishings. Also, alteration and ironing services. You will provide instruction/training to these workers. Ensure production is carried out in a safe and efficient manner. Carry out and record work-based assessment as required, record and monitor time keeping, attendance management and annual leave for employees. Adhere to best practise, processes and instruction in keeping with the job role. The Person Supervise these operations within our soft furnishing areas and occasionally on site where required. Qualification to SCQF level 6, SVQ level 3, Highers qualification with prior work experience within a sewing/ soft furnishings production environment or similar. Experience and knowledge of the soft furnishing industry or similar would be desirable. Previous experience working within production-based environment and prior supervisory experience would be advantageous. You should have working knowledge of Microsoft packages. Be able to work within a team and motivate individuals as well as work on own when required. Have a good awareness and experience of Health and safety management. Be able to communicate easily with equal opportunities workforce. You must have good numeracy skills and be competent with measuring and assessing for production work. You should have the ability to provide a regular and effective service. You will be expected to complete First Aid training and other personal development opportunities relating to the role. Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
