Service Technician Required – Birmingham
1. Basic Salary up to: £34,665
2. OTE: £40,000+ (Uncapped bonus based on time saved and team performance)
3. Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week – No Weekends!
Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking automotive dealership group based in Birmingham, is currently seeking a skilled Service Technician to join their busy and successful aftersales team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Vehicle Technician looking to progress their career within a modern workshop environment, supported by manufacturer training and industry-leading tools.
Duties as a Service Technician will include:
4. Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles
5. Completing diagnostic, warranty and general repair work
6. Undertaking routine tasks such as oil services, brake work and cambelt replacements
7. Completing electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) and job cards accurately
8. Ensuring all work is carried out to high safety and quality standards.
The successful Service Technician will have:
9. A recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent)
10. Previous experience in a Service Technician / Mechanic role
11. Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
12. The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
13. An MOT licence would be advantageous but is not essential (training available)
