Are you a dedicated and empathetic Primary Teacher with a passion for supporting children facing Additional Learning Needs and (SEMH) challenges? Academics are working in partnership with a supportive SEMH provision in Monmouth to appoint a Primary Teacher who can inspire, engage, and nurture pupils through their educational journey, working in the schools Learning Resource Base.
The Opportunity:
This part-time teaching role involves delivering a creative curriculum for KS1 and KS2 learners who require additional support. You will be helping pupils to reconnect and build self-esteem, whilst progressing inside and outside the classroom.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet individual learning and emotional needs.
* Maintaining a structured classroom environment where lessons meet the children's needs and requirements
* Working closely with teaching assistants, SEND professionals, and external support agencies.
* Setting clear expectations, managing behaviour positively, and supporting individual EHCPs.
* Tracking pupil progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
What We're Looking For:
* A qualified teacher (QTS) with a commitment to inclusive and therapeutic approaches.
* Experience working within SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision is advantageous.
* Skilled in behaviour management and emotionally responsive teaching.
* Someone who demonstrates resilience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping young people thrive.
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
