Wood is seeking for expression of interest for an experienced Project Engineer with extensive EPC experience to join us as we expand on a diverse range of projects.
This role is based in Stockton and hybrid working with the expectation of working 3 days from our Stockton office.
The Role
You will be coordinating and delivering the engineering for an assigned project scope to a schedule and in accordance with applicable procedures, specifications, and standards.

The Process & Energy is part of the business, which sits in the Operations team, offering a wide range of opportunities which will allow you to develop your skills across a portfolio of onshore projects in different sectors. Our current portfolio includes green hydrogen and fuel switching, as well as supporting local clients with energy transition. Additionally, we work on UK refineries, petrochemical facilities, fine chemicals and pharmaceutical facilities. We have number of clients who we are working with to design their pilot plants to test exciting new technologies, with a view to partnering with them as they move to design and build full scale commercial facilities.

Expected:
8. Recognized Qualification in an engineering discipline
9. Preferable chartered engineer and member of a recognized institution
10. Relevant proven experience in multidiscipline engineering management within engineering and procurement projects for the Process and Energy or Oil and Gas industry
11. Understands and knows how to apply the procedures and work practices which define and govern Engineering Management and Project Engineering deliverables
12. Understands the importance of Project Engineering deliverables and the need for accuracy and timely issue
13. Fully conversant with project scopes and work carried out by all engineering disciplines and various interface and inter discipline coordination requirements among the various disciplines including procurement and construction
14. Commercially astute and aware of the importance of Change control
15. Has a good knowledge of engineering standards, procedures and work practices; follows
project execution flow chart; developing skills in project and technical execution
16. Able to lead small team; develops skills of leadership with minimum intervention from manager
17. CDM experience is a preference
18. Extensive experience gained either as a discipline engineer in a project environment or in more junior project engineering roles
19. Good understanding of technical work scope, key dates and milestones
20. Completely familiar with project contractual and commercial requirements
21. Understands the concept of customer satisfaction and is able to deliver to internal customers, including other Engineering disciplines
22. Good Negotiation and Presentation skills
23. Ability to make independent decisions in planning, organizing and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems.
