We have an exciting opportunity for a paramedic to join our team at HMP Brixton in London.
Hours
The shifts are 07:30 – 20:30 Monday to Friday and 08:30 – 20:30 Saturday to Sunday. There are currently no night shifts, but this may change in the future.
Salary
Annual salary of £46,478 to £55,086 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Provide outstanding evidence‑based care to patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback so that care is personalized and informed by what matters to them – focusing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
* Deliver non‑judgmental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
* Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients’ care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.

Qualifications
* Qualified Paramedic
* Current professional registration (HCPC)
* Proven post‑registration ambulance experience
* Evidence of continued professional development
* A non‑judgmental and compassionate approach
* Proven experience in either Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries / illness
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.

Applicants must have current UK professional registration.
