Our client is an independent market leader in the design and manufacture of a wide range of transit packaging from timber, bespoke, heavy duty and corrugated packaging They are committed to delivering an unrivalled service underpinned by a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise.
They are currently looking for a Senior Sales Account Manager to join their team. Within this role you will be overseeing sales for a portfolio of customers with a wide variety of requirements and spends to ensure you meet the customer needs while achieving acceptable margins.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing an account base of £3million within the West Midlands area
2. Develop a thorough understanding of the business, products and strategy
3. Focus on growing and developing existing clients along with trying to generate new business opportunities
4. Ensure that the products meet the needs of all the customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with the products and services
5. Communicate with and provide feedback to the Head of Sales regarding any issues or fluctuations with customer spend or performance
6. Identify areas for improvement with our customer base and explore new product ranges, services or innovative ideas.
7. Generate sales leads and appointments for new business
8. Gather and record market and customer information
9. Management of new accounts
10. Arranging prospects and client visits and presenting to prospects and clients at all levels
11. Close deals to secure new business
12. Ensure clients expectations are met in regard to design and performance
13. Maximise revenue and profit
14. Performance in line with deadlines and budgets
15. Look to build, create and maintain long lasting client relationships
16. Develop relationships with key customers and contacts
17. Forecast and track account spends and usage figures
18. Act as a key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions
19. Play an integral role in ensuring existing customers' needs and expectations are always met
20. Set objectives and targets for each customer account
21. Quote new work using the NERP System
22. Support to implement price increases to both your own and colleague's customers
23. Work with internal sales office to ensure the smooth running of all accounts with schedules, deliveries etc
24. Work closely with the design and innovation team to ensure you turn around quotations and enquiries as quickly as possible
25. Look to maximise profit with the customer so where possible look into new designs/products
Requirements:
26. A strong background in sales of 'Transit Packaging', with preferred experience of timber cases and pallets, corrugated (heavy duty & conventional), foam and ancillary protective packaging products
27. Self-motivated with a 'can do' attitude
28. A good eye for detail and creative flair
