About the role
Protocol Education are working with a welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Hackney seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary SEN Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach and inspire pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You’ll be joining a nurturing school community that values creativity, individuality, and a holistic approach to learning.
Key responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils
* Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
* Use a variety of communication methods and learning approaches, including sensory and play-based strategies
* Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to deliver personalised learning plans
* Monitor pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents and the wider SEN team
* Promote social and emotional development alongside academic achievement
About you
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) is essential
* Experience working with pupils with SEND (either in a mainstream or specialist setting)
* A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to teaching
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them reach their potential
