At our ARU Writtle campus we specialise in animal, environmental, agricultural and horticultural courses, for learners aged 16 to 18, adult learners, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to contribute as part of a dynamic team delivering to a growing number of Further Education students across a range of equine courses within the Further Education equine department. In this varied role you will teach theory, practical and riding sessions to students on full and part time courses in Further Education.
Responsibilities
* Teach theory, practical and riding sessions to students on full‑time and part‑time courses.
* Develop and deliver lesson plans for equine management, equine health, nutrition and competition grooming.
* Assess student progress and provide feedback.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date teaching records and student files.
* Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications
* In‑depth knowledge of horse management, equine health, nutrition and competition grooming.
* Qualified to teach riding (or willing to commence studies within one year of employment).
* Experience in a similar teaching role or within an equestrian competition yard.
* Experience of lecturing and a GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent to Level 2.
* Vocational qualification at NVQ Level 4 or equivalent.
* Appropriate endorsed Teaching Qualification (or ability to commence studies within one year of employment).
