We have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Senior Support Worker.
Females only due to the needs of the service.
At our specialist service in Perranporth, we support adults with learning disabilities and or autism who may exhibit behaviours that can challenge. Tarrant House is a Residential Care Home consisting of seven rooms within the main house, which have been tailored to suit each person’s individual personality and needs.

What you’ll be doing:
* You will be flexible as shifts will involve a mixture of earlies, lates, long days, waking nights, and sleep-ins. Weekend and Bank holiday working will be required.
* To support the Manager in their absence, overseeing the day-to-day running of the service.
* Ensure the service runs efficiently based on the needs of the people we support, operation, company objectives, and regulatory requirements.
* To take day to day responsibility for the duration of the shift and delegate tasks to Support Workers as agreed with the Service Manager.
* Assist in the leadership, support, and supervision of the staff team as delegated by the Service Manager.
* Assist in devising staff rotas and covering of shifts in accordance with company policies.
* Participate in the On-Call rota to provide support when required by the Service Manager.
* Promoting independence with the people we support with all aspects of personal care, cooking, cleaning, key working, and general life skills
Who you are:
* You are an existing Senior Support Worker or a Support Worker with a minimum of 6 months of experience supporting adults/young people/children with learning disabilities or mental health needs.
* You will hold an NVQ Level 2 or Diploma in Health & Social Care, or have a willingness to achieve.
* You will have the flexibility to cover days, evenings, weekends, waking nights, and sleep-in duties.
* You will have the ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team.
