Social Work Assistant - Safeguarding Richmond Team

We are recruiting for a Social Worker Assistant who will be based in our Twickenham office.

About the role

As a Social Work Assistant you will work alongside frontline Social Workers in carrying out their duties.

As a Social Work Assistant for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for:

2. Taking & recording minutes of meetings
3. Completing referrals to other agencies
4. Making contact with partner agencies to gather and share information
5. Maintaining electronic files
6. Organising packages of support

About you

To be a Social Work Assistant for AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points:

7. Excellent organisational and administrative skills
8. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Word and Gmail, and a willingness to learn new systems such as the Integrated Children’s Service electronic database
9. Clear and effective communication skills, particularly when engaging with service users
10. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well as part of a team
