A large international business with offices near Plymouth is recruiting a Technical Accounting Manager to manage a small team focused on Fixed and Lease Assets.
Working within the central accounting team, the key responsibilities of the Technical Accounting Manager are:
1. Owning the Fixed and Lease Asset accounting, ensuring the application of best practices, process improvements, standardisation, and effective controls.
2. Managing the team on a day-to-day basis.
3. Partnering with internal and external stakeholders regarding the management and maintenance of ongoing leases.
4. Serving as the central point of contact for Fixed and Lease Assets for the UK businesses.
5. Collaborating with the capital investment team on capital expenditure proposals and overseeing the process to successfully deliver the capex portfolio.
The ideal candidate for the Technical Accounting Manager role will:
1. Be a technically strong qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
2. Have experience managing and developing a team.
3. Possess demonstrable experience reviewing and improving processes.
This role could suit candidates from either a practice (including recent practice experience) or industry background with experience in a similar technical/group reporting or audit role.
