🕘 Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 (37 hours per week)
💷 Pay Rate: Up to £38.02 per hour (Umbrella, DOE)
💼 Contract Type: Full-time, Agency/Temporary
✨ About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Family & Children's Social Worker to join our dedicated Permanence Team based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner with significant experience working within Permanence or Children in Care Teams. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring children achieve stability, security, and positive long-term outcomes through effective permanency planning.
You'll benefit from excellent supervision, manageable caseloads, and the support of a stable, experienced team and permanent Team Managers who value collaboration and reflective practice.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
1. Work with Children in Care and their families to achieve lasting permanence.
2. Undertake assessments, develop care plans, and deliver interventions in line with statutory frameworks.
3. Ensure each child's voice is central to planning and decision-making.
4. Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with children, carers, and professionals.
5. Attend and contribute to reviews, permanence panels, and court proceedings as required.
6. Work collaboratively with partner agencies to secure the best outcomes for children.
7. Maintain clear, accurate, and timely case records in line with professional standards.
