A growing Accountancy Practice is looking to appoint a Client Manager into their St Helens office. This is an excellent opportunity where youll work closely with a broad portfolio of SME clients, managing relationships while producing high-quality accounts and tax work, with the opportunity to mentor junior staff and genuinely add value to clients. Client Manager Responisbilities: Prepare year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships Produce corporation tax computations and returns for review by senior leadership Prepare deferred tax calculations and tax reconciliations Complete VAT returns and support clients with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements Prepare periodic management accounts and management information reporting Ensure statutory accounts and corporation tax returns are submitted within Companies House and HMRC deadlines Act as a key point of contact for client queries via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings Manage your own portfolio of clients with oversight from senior leadership Review work prepared by junior staff and support with training and development where required Client Manager Attributes: ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or Qualified By Experience (QBE) Minimum 5 years experience within accountancy practice (or 8 years for QBE applicants) Able to prepare a high-quality final set of accounts for Partner review Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and business tax matters Experience preparing VAT returns and management accounts Client Manager Benefits: Genuine client ownership and autonomy within the role On-site parking Hybrid and flexible working Exposure to a varied client base across multiple sectors Clear long-term progression potential If you are an experienced Practice Accountant looking for a varied role with greater client ownership and progression opportunities in St Helens, wed love to hear from youAPPLY NOW
