I’m partnering with a purpose-driven Health Tech organisation undergoing a major digital transformation, and we’re looking for an exceptional Engineering Lead (Integration) to play a pivotal role in building globally scalable platforms.

The Opportunity
As part of a wider transformation programme, this Health Tech business is consolidating its core member engagement platform (mobile app and associated services) into a unified, globally scalable solution.
The Engineering Lead (Integration) will:
* Lead architecture and design for backend systems, APIs and integration services
* Drive best practice across C#, .NET and Azure development
* Own delivery of integration initiatives from design through deployment
* Remain hands‑on in coding and complex technical problem solving
* Mentor and guide a team of engineers (circa 5+)
* Act as the senior technical escalation point for backend and integration challenges
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution — ideal for someone who loves solving complex integration challenges while leading from the front.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Technical Leadership
* Design scalable, reliable backend and integration architectures
* Set coding standards and conduct meaningful code reviews
* Drive API and microservices best practice
* Champion maintainability, performance and security
Delivery & Execution
* Own integration backlog and technical prioritisation
* Ensure reliable, high‑quality releases
* Improve CI/CD, monitoring and DevOps practices
* Continuously evolve architecture and engineering standards
Cross-Functional Influence
* Partner closely with Product, Data, Operations and Architecture
* Communicate technical trade‑offs and risks to senior stakeholders
* Align integration roadmaps with broader business goals
What We’re Looking For:
Must-Have:
* Experience leading engineers as a Tech Lead / Engineering Lead
* Experience with cloud-based integration patterns and messaging systems
* Ability to mentor, influence and elevate engineering standards
* Exposure to CI/CD, automated testing and DevOps environments
Nice to Have:
* Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar messaging platforms
* Experience scaling backend systems in growth environments
* Agile/Scrum delivery exposure
