Responsibilities
You will be responsible for ensuring the continual cleanliness of the theatre and equipment.
You will develop and execute the correct procedures for ordering, receiving and transferring blood and blood products, as well as blood conservation.
You will act as an advocate for the patient during the intra‑operative phase and be responsible for total patient care in the peri‑operative phase.
Qualifications
* Registered NMC Nurse with experience as a scrub practitioner in a theatre, or
* HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner.
* Knowledge and experience of working with an orthopaedic team.
* Experience of major orthopaedic surgery.
* Up to date with current research and developments in theatre practice.
* Sound knowledge of Health and Safety / Risk management within the operating department.
Salary & Working Hours
Salary of up to £50,342.66, depending on skills and experience.
Work 37.5 hours over 4 days.
No on‑call, no night work or working on bank holidays.
